Savoury Flatbreads with Apples and Crumbled Blue Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup apple butter such as Wellesley brand
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 small Naan flatbreads or 2 medium Naan flatbreads
  • 1 Cortland apple thinly sliced or your favourite apple
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese such as Stilton
  • *you could use a sharp cheddar cheese in place of Stilton if you aren't fond of blue cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the naan flatbreads on the pan.
  • Mix together the apple butter and Dijon mustard. Spread it as thickly on the flatbreads as you like. About 1 tbsp or so per flatbread works nicely. You will likely have some apple butter mixture left over so you can store it in the fridge for another day.
  • Thinly slice the apple and place on the flatbreads.
  • Bake the flatbreads for approximately 8 minutes.
  • Place the flatbreads on a plate to serve and crumble some blue cheese over each flatbread.
